Welcome to the website of Pak-hing Kan. Pak-hing is an artist whose major study was painting, but her great interest is in ceramics. She combines these interests through the use of traditional materials--clay and glaze--and an old conceptual form--the box-- in a contemporary way. She creates intimate, small-scale boxes that are exquisitely painted on both the interior and exterior surfaces. She also creates a one-of -a-kind, handmade silk wrap as packaging for each box. The wrap is included in the sale price.
